I, (James) am in recovery and have been clean for 18 months from cocaine and alcohol abuse after over 20 years in active addiction.
I met Beth (my partner and co-creator of CleanCut), while in the rehab.
With our combined passion for all things mental health and recovery, we have a vision for clothing that helps those struggling to reach out and start conversations.
We are creating a community through our clothing where people from all walks of life’s - all struggles, all backgrounds, all ages…feel heard and seen. We are both here to reach out too at any time.
I attend regular NA meetings, have a sponsor, do step work and have a therapist. Beth runs her own women’s mental health group and has a great understanding of mental health and holistic practices.
I couldn't get clean on my own. I didn’t want to die but didn’t want to live. My rock bottom was awful drinking 20 plus can of cider from morning until night accompanied by a £1000 a week cocaine habit. It took me loosing everything to ask for help.
